The growth process in human that influences growth, development and progress is in two folds – Economics and Education – Information. The completeness of a man are in Food/Economics and Information. Food comes to us in different forms and taste and we choose our manus base on either our nutritional needs or apatite for a particular food. What we eat therefore determines how we grow physically in health and stature. In similar vain,

Education/Information is also Food to the soul and it comes in different formats through acts, deeds, utterances value systems and reflections. Its content however influences the act and deeds of a person, Therefore the type of Education or Information you receive, influences your values in life as a person and by extension family, society, community and a nation. The question then is;

1. What type of Information or Education are we giving to ourselves as a people,

2. What type of information are our leaders at the various leadership estates reflecting to their citizenry, subordinates, youth, children and by extension the next generation

3.Most of the information and Education we’ve observed growing up is;1. GREED2. LIES3. VINDICTIVENESS

4. Hatred towards each other

5. Lack of patriotism

6. SELFISHNESS

7. LAZINESS

8. MEDIOCRITY

9. Disregard to ethical values laws

10. Impunitive acts and deeds

11. Selective justice systems

12. Wealth acquisition without a clear growth process

13. Reliability on mainly academic credentials for employability than focusing on skills development as the best employability tool. These and many more are some of the kind of information we receive through our various senses. Through our various leaderships in all sectors. And by such definitions, information and Education, the obvious resultant effect is our current plight as Africans. What we need is a realisation and the need to want to change the status cuo and taking frantic and practical efforts by instituting the right framework and structures backed with dynamic and visionary LEADERSHIP with a patriotic heart and a committed mind to change the course of the African and that is you, the YOUTH OF TODAY!Let’s accept the fact that most of our leaderships have failed us either for lackbof knowledge or malice. But for the youth of today who have been preview to Advance knowledge, Technology and exposed to Transformational information, you’ll be counted as the hope of Africa for Africans. The informations you’re receiving today among all the speakers and panelist should guide you in your various leadership positions you might find yourself to cause that change we all need as a continent.

THE AFRICAN PROBLEM

1. Leadership is supposed to be a service role and not a privilege position.

2. The African culture considers Leadership as a privilege role and this can be judged from by how Africans treat Father’s at home and Leaders in our communities and Societies. Leaders in the African cultural sense are seen to be custodians of wisdom and therefore their taughts are not supposed to be challenged even when it doesn’t make logical sense and has the tendency distracting a system.

Challenging their taught even for good reasons can be seen as an indication of disrespect and an insult have the tendency of costing your life. This cultural practice and norm seems to have infused into our educational orientation leading to a character formation that is seen within the African perspective as right, acceptable and a norm. This character trait influenced by indoctrination unfortunately is traced into our Business administration and Management,

Our Political governance systems. And obviously so, a single political leadership decision be it productive or unproductive is accepted as good until it fails before its noticed as wrong. This leads to a system an unstable societal growth with a resultant effect of stagnation. Due to this phenomenon it becomes difficult for the African continent to have VISIONARY LEADERSHIP but for a few who probably where born to be as an example like Nelson Mandela, Kwame Nkrumah, Paul Kigame of Rwanda and a few more.

To the others, the can be considered as LEADERS with the African cultural orientation and not VISIONARY Leaders.Lack of a positive visionary leadership plan will frustrate any efforts made by empowered citizenry with all the best skills, credentials, Financial and Entrepreneurial opportunities to could steer growth and development.
